- Dead skin cells – Make sure you are exfoliating your skin as part of your skincare routine. This will remove deal cells on the outer surface of the skin as well as allow skin care to better penetrate the skin and nourish it.
- Unfriendly environment – Don’t overlook air pollutants, PM 2.5, UV exposure and environmental aggressors. Make sure to wash your face daily to unclog pores and apply antioxidant products each morning to protect the skin from free radicals.
- Not getting enough sleep – This is an easy fix, get more sleep. At least 7 to 8 hours of sleep daily will ensure your skin to restore itself, allowing repair and regeneration of skin cells.
- Stress – Yes, stress can affect your skin as cortisol levels increase, blood flow is directed to your vital organs and your skin can be deprived of sufficient blood flow. Therefore, make sure to take time to de-stress, maintain a positive attitude, take up a hobby and manage your stress.
