Mellow Sophora Root Clarifying Serum
First of all, I would like to thank @_simplymissh for a chance to try this wonderful serum! I dedicated the last 2 weeks to using this so I can get accurate results.
Key ingredients:
🌿Capryloyl Salicylic Acid (LHA): salicylic acid derivative; key in treating acne and oily skin, known for its exfoliating properties and ability in unclogging pores.
🌿Sophora Angustifolia Root Extract: A Chinese herb with multiple medicinal benefits. It effectively provides relief to acne-prone skin, prevent further breakouts and reduce scarring.
🌿Picea Excelsa Extract: reduces inflammation or redness from skin. The extract is antibacterial, analgesic, antiseptic and also aromatic.
🌿Willow Bark Extract: contains salicin and polyphenols which are highly antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, and able to soothe irritation and alleviate acne.
🌿Tangerine Peel Extract: rich in vitamin C and antioxidants and effectively brightens dull, uneven skin tones and dark spots.
DETAILED REVIEW:
First few days were slow and I didn’t get much changes in my forehead. But then hit the 5th day I noticed my pimples calmed down as well as the oiliness decreased. Surprisingly I didn’t get any allergies nor did I break out even more but rather it calmed the redness. Also the stubborn acne on my forehead cleared! (Swipe to see photos!)
Fragrance wise, it is pretty average. It smells pretty similar to Ginseng and makes perfect sense since it’s a root as well. The Texture 💖 is so great! It’s light and it easily seeps in my pores and buildable as well 🤟. The price is average. Most serums in the market would sell for the same amount or even more but of course you can always opt for other cheaper alternatives. Packaging is 😘. I love the matte texture on the bottle. It makes it look classy 🤩
Overall rating: 7/10 I wish they sold it in larger bottles. Regarding the smell, it’s probably not my favorite but it’s bearable and plus I didn’t get any allergies with it! I highly recommend this for people with oily/sensitive skin like me! ⭐️
