I love serums and I love natural beauty, so NATURALLY when Mellow Naturals reached out to me about testing their new facial serums, I was all-in.
The range includes four serums with beautiful frosted white, glass packaging:
Hydration Drops, which has an astoundingly minimal ingredient list (most notably Argan, Rosehip, and Strawberry Seed Oil), and is meant to nourish and hydrate the skin to revitalize and balance.
The Botanical Concentrated Face Serum, which is meant to brighten the skin and minimize the appearance of pores (key ingredients include: Cocos Nucifera Oil, Curcuma Xanthorrhiza Root Extract, Curcuma Aromatica Root Oil, Curcuma Longa Root Oil, Zingiber Cassumunar Root Oil, Hypoxis Aurea Root Extract, Averrhoa Carambola Fruit Extract).
The Vit C Natural Glow Face Serum, which contains vitamin C derivatives to brighten the skin, as well as niacinamide to help restore and heal the skin.
Lastly, the Clarifying Face Serum with Saphora Root. This serum is meant to help clarify and balance acne-prone skin. It has a naturally derived BHA and Salicylic acid as key ingredients, which are total rock stars for congestion and breakouts (other key ingredients include: Sophora Angustifolia Root Extract, Picea Excelsa Extract, and Tangerine Peel Extract).
I've enjoyed trying all of these but my favorites, by far, are the Hydration Drops and the Clarifying Serum. I recently stopped using moisturizers and heavy oils (because of some serious congestion issues I was having), and started opting for more hydrating serums. This one has been in my rotation for a month now, and I really like it. It's moisturizing without being super heavy, and leaves my skin looking soft, supple, and glowy. It has no discernable scent to me, and is entirely non irritating. I love the packaging, AND the product. The Clarifying Serum has come in majorly handy, too (it also has no discernable scent to me, unless I have my nose IN the bottle). I've recently been on an extreme BHA kick, and this has Salicylic Acid as well as Willow Bark Extract. It’s antimicrobial, discourages PIH. AND I just love to spot treat with it.
